There are many benefits of glazed extensions being built from using natural materials such as the mighty Oak – a beautiful, strong hardwood which oozes character and premium style. Oak has been the material of choice for builders, architects and craftsmen for Centuries due to its unique ability to seamlessly fit in with virtually any setting. 

There are three kinds of oak which are traditionally used for building timber glazed extensions; Green Oak, Air Dried and Seasoned Oak. Seasoned Oak is the highest quality oak available, and is designed to be hard-wearing and long-lasting. Once cut to size, the oak is left to dry out over a period of approximately. 1 year for each 25mm (1”) of thickness, meaning the final product is incredibly robust and perfect for glazed extensions.

A Luxury Oak Extension, is built using only the finest, environmentally-friendly European oak from sustainable and renewable sources. All of our oak is harvested from well-managed Woodlands.
