The Colour Of Your Orangery Or Conservatory
Two of the best stages of having an extension built at your property, whether it is an orangery or conservatory, are the designing and decorating stages.
Here at Hallmark Glazed Extensions, in East Sussex, we will design all of our customer's extensions from scratch, so not one extension is the same, making them truly unique! In our free design consultation, we will discuss with you what you are looking for and what design aspects you would like to include.
The decorating stage is where your character can be brought out in your property, through different paints, flooring, furniture, plants and much more.
Choosing the right colour scheme for your glazed extension will be an important decision, as it will set the theme for the rest of the room and everything you put inside it.

How Do You Choose The Best Colour?

Choosing the best colour and theme to base your new glazed extension around will be down to a few things. Firstly it will be personal preference. We can give some great recommendations from what past customers have opted for, however, it will come down to you and what you like.
It will also come down to if you are looking to match or complement the existing style of your property or if you are wanting to make it stand out with a different colour pallet.
Moods & Styles Associated With Colours
Different colours can convey various moods, and depending on the function of the room, it may be appropriate to have a colour that compliments that.
For example, if you want your new conservatory or orangery to be a relaxing getaway room, then calming colours may be more appropriate. A great colour for this is blue, which has been proven to be the most relaxing colour.
If you are wanting to have a modern, subtle look, then mixing and matching various greys, blacks and whites can make for a great looking extension. This colour pallet works well if you are wanting it to flow throughout the whole of the property as it is not too ‘in your face,’ compared to other colours which may only be appropriate for a single room.
Greens are associated with nature, so if you wanted to feel like you’re in the heart of your garden, whether inside or outside then this could be the colour for you.
There are many colours to choose from, and if you are stuck for choices then we are here to help. Also remember, that if you are wanting to change the look further down the line, then the option is always there to switch up the colour.
