2023 will be bringing many more trends for home improvements! Going into the new year, homeowners may be keen to update their living environment with more space for functional or social/family rooms. In this blog, we have highlighted some conservatory and orangery trends we see happening for the new year.

Multifunctional Spaces
Multifunctional spaces, such as kitchen diners, or lounge diners are becoming increasingly popular over recent years. We are seeing them being incorporated more often into housing now and the demand isn’t slowing down.
There are many great ways of being able to introduce multifunctional spaces into your home (without knocking down every internal wall). This can be done with conservatories, orangeries and other forms of home extensions.
Various materials can be used to make these extensions as well, and here at Hallmark, we offer our extensions in painted hardwood, aluminium, uPVC frames or our brand new building option from hup!

Home Offices
Since the pandemic, we have seen more people sticking to working from home, and many more joining this trend. There are some great benefits that come with home working, such as eliminating the need to commute so you can have more time to yourself, and have a better work-life balance.
Working from home (or remote working) has also allowed businesses to reduce overheads since large offices can become smaller, less electricity and heating are required, and all other bills associated with operating an office can have a reduction.
Here at Hallmark, we can help with creating home working environments. Not all homes have the available space to work, and if they do it may be noisy or distracting. A way around this is to incorporate an orangery or conservatory extension, or an external garden room building to offer more space.
Garden rooms may be the favourable option for home offices, since they are usually built as a separate building in your garden, away from all the noise so you can focus on the tasks at hand. Get in touch so we can discuss the options available for you.
